Experience with Horses
I have grown up around horses and went through the pony club, going on to gain my BHS Stage 4 senior yard manager qualification. Working with a wide variety of horses including broodmares, foals, stallions, racehorses and competition horses has given me a good understanding of how to handle different situations. I have groomed at both one day and stay away shows at a national level. I work efficiently as part of a team as well as alone.
Key Skills
Plaiting, clipping, lungeing
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love developing an understanding for each horse as an individual and have always enjoyed working with mares, I take pride in turning horses out to the highest standard possible.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Continue developing and learning becoming more confident in my own abilities.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I’m hard working and always willing to learn, I’m a quiet person and use initiative to get work done. I also love to bake and will happily provide the yard with cake!
