Experience with Horses

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? I hold a diverse range of essential skills tailored for the Equine Industry that I’m good at. These include both collaborative and independent work settings, encompassing activities such as plaiting, clipping, show preparation, bandaging, exercise routines, competitive engagements, equine first aid, hacking, long reining, lunging, adept management abilities, mucking out, pulling manes and tails, proficient riding, teaching, training, sole responsibility, and effective supervision.
Furthermore, my skill set extends beyond the equine realm, including skill sets in administration, IT skills, house sitting, pet care and sitting, adept management capacities, childcare, personal assistant tasks, as well as supervisory abilities. All of which can be seen within my C.V.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? The most rewarding aspect for me lies in nurturing and cherishing the relationships that develop with the horses under my care. I gain great satisfaction from fostering connections with clients involved in livery and teaching engagements. The process of teaching brings me a remarkable sense of fulfilment; I really love imparting lessons to individuals of diverse ages and skill levels. My profound appreciation for the outdoors further enhances my passion. Having ridden since my earliest memories and commenced working in stables from the age of 13, I can confidently affirm that nothing gives me greater happiness than these experiences.

• Is there anything you’d like to improve? I’m always seeking to improve within any job I go into, however I would love to maybe one day carry on with my BHS stages.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? Because I am a conscientious, honest, caring and hard-working individual, who has the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people. I work effectively with team members and clients on a daily basis; making sure that everyone is happy and satisfied. I equally work just as effectively independently too. I have excellent time management skills and can prioritise multiple demands appropriately. I’m also a very versatile individual who has the ability to learn things quickly. With a wealth of years immersed in the Equine Industry, I am confident that the invaluable skill sets I have cultivated are ready to be imparted to my next professional endeavor.

Requirements

• What would you like to do or gain in your next job? I am very keen to take on sole responsibility for a Private Yard or contributing within a large team environment within management level which I also have vast experience in. Additionally, the notion of engaging in competition grooming greatly appeals to me. Over the long term, I aspire to obtain further BHS qualifications.
