Experience
Rode as I was born! Worked at a hunter/sale yard in Cornwall, from the ages of 15 to 18 years old
Always had my own horses. Worked in Berkshire with polo ponies for seven years, then moved to Jamaica to run and manage a new trail company. Horses and grooms, guests to the island. This job involved not just general managing, ie food ordering etc, but basic medical care, as veterinarians are few and far between.
Left there after 14 years and started an animal shelter (Montego Bay Animal Haven) mostly dogs, but rescued a few horses too.
Always competed (crap at dressage) love jumping and learning!
Key Skills
Love a clean stable, a clean horse, a happy horse. Enjoy exercising, or just being with horses.
Part of my polo job was working for the Prince of Pahang. The turn out and general care of the horses, was to the highest level. I’ve kept that with me everywhere I’ve gone. Pride in your environment, and your charges!
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I adore horses. The trust we build, we earn and they give.
• I seriously need to learn to plat! Absolutely terrible at it!
• I’m old fashioned in that I have to produce to the best of my ability. I’m always willing to learn, which I love about this industry, you have to keep learning!
Requirements
• To be able to make horses and their owners, comfortable in the knowledge that I always do my best.

• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you? I have two small dogs. Very well trained, used to being with other dogs and horses.
