Dear Ms,
I’m seeking a long-term horse groom job as I’m not interested in riding. I’d like to become trained to be a Grand Prix level competition groom for dressage & show jumping. My locale is Wroclaw, Poland, phone # +48 739 072 489 & orangesea1111@gmail.com for email.
In summary, my last horse groom job was for a female rider & consisted of:
First I fed the horses & mucked the stables. After this I tacked-up her horses & did the tasks she told me to do. Brought horses to the walker, others ridden or trained under saddle (dressage or jumping). About 2pm the horses got fed. Then I cleaned (picked-up) the manure her horses left in the arenas.
Late afternoon I took youngsters in & then my duties varied as dependent on her wishes. She would then dismiss me then order me to: sweep the yard, horse walker, etc. Then I’d clean, polish & shine her: boots, spurs, whips, saddles, etc. (doing the same thing for her at shows/competitions). Then I’d clean her stable office; sweep, dust, mop the floor, etc. On the weekends there was a different schedule if there was a jumping or dressage event.
Other manual labor jobs that I’ve worked at are:
as a shoe-shiner, office & house-cleaner.
I’ll work hard, I’m very fit, will carry out your orders & am always obedient to the rider.
I like:
caring for the welfare of the horses.
serving riders at competitions or working with them at a yard while training.
tacking up/off for riders.
cleaning manure from the yard riding arenas, rider spaces at competitions, etc. for riders so they don’t have to.
cleaning then shining saddles, tack & rider’s boots, etc. (I used to work as a shoe shiner so I’m good at cleaning/shining boots, especially dressage).
cleaning the tack room, yard office, etc.
Regards,
Johnny
