Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
I have worked on a busy livery yard consisting of liveries, show ponies, horses for sale, hunt horses and some young stock. My job role consisted of all aspects of equine care; backing and breaking show ponies, riding and training different types of horses in to be sold, also feeding, grooming/bathing, mucking out, turning in and out and all other day to day runnings of the yard. I also have a strong understanding of equine behaviour and can provide the care and attention necessary for their well being. I have also experienced a professional show jumping and backing a breaking yard.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. I am a strong communicator and have experience working closely with
veterinarians, farriers, and other equine professionals to ensure the best care for the horses. I also have experience in running sessions within teaching settings. I am a confident and capable individual and would be very comfortable supervising and leading
junior equine staff and volunteers in addition to caring for the horses.
I am a very fit and energetic person who finds great fulfillment in physically demanding work. I have experience in completing maintenance tasks and preparing sites for
events. I have my own wireless clippers and am confident clipping and trimming.
