I’ve been riding since I was 16, and over the years, my passion for horses has only grown stronger. Currently, I own both a horse and a pony. The pony, which I purchased as a colt, has been a particularly rewarding project. I took on the challenge of training and breaking him in myself, and it’s been incredible to witness his progress. Now, almost 4 years old, he confidently hacks out, enjoys popping small jumps, and listens well to walk, canter, and trot commands.

Although I am mostly self-taught, I’ve received some professional training along the way to refine my skills and ensure I’m always progressing. What I love most about riding and being around horses is the bond you develop with them. Building that trust and connection with each horse is something truly special, and it’s a big part of why I’ve continued to dedicate myself to this passion.

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

currently rent a private yard, but I’ve also had experience on larger yards, which has given me the confidence to work with my horses both independently and in group settings. While on the big yard, I often helped out with livery tasks, including taking various types of horses to the fields. I’m comfortable around all horses, from young ponies to 17hh horses, and I firmly believe that the way you treat a horse reflects how they will treat you in return.

Over the years, I’ve ridden a range of horses, including young ones, and I’m confident in both jumping and hacking out. Alongside riding, I’m well-versed in stable management and can handle all essential tasks such as mucking out, preparing haynets, poo picking, and changing water. Working with horses—whether in the yard or out riding—is something I genuinely love, and I thrive on building trust and strong bonds with them.

im an animal person, i dont belive in over powering an animal, i will treat any animals like my own.
