Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I most enjoy the empathetic nature of working with horses and the rewarding feeling of building a rapport with different horses. Also, I enjoy being able to care for them by carrying out even the most mundane tasks for their wellbeing.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I have not yet had the opportunity to learn skills such as clipping and plaiting, and how to cater for different nutritional needs, and would like to do so.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Employers should consider me over any other job seeker as I am eager to learn, conscientious, and characteristically do not like to let others down. Also, I would welcome the chance to give back to horses for the comfort they provide to me by caring for them to the best of my ability.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I am looking to assist in providing day to day care for horses and would like to broaden my knowledge of aspects of horse welfare, such as how to provide care for any injured/sick. I would also like to be able to gain experience of providing non-ridden exercise, for example long reining and lungeing. If possible I would appreciate the opportunity to learn the skills of how to train horses.
• Do you need accommodation?
No
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
No
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
I have other non negotiable commitments each weekday evening after 5.30pm and all day at weekends.
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No
