Experience with Horses
I have grown up around horses and have been riding for 28 years. My mother was a semi-professional rider, as well as an approved BHS instructor and has taught me all she knows. I have never had the pleasure of having an equine based job but would love nothing more. Although never owning my own horse, I have always had a horse on loan, currently I have a 17hh warmblood and a 14.2hh Section D. I am well versed and capable of riding all different types of horses of all sizes, as well as their general day to day care. My main focus with my current loans is ridden showing and show jumping.
Key Skills
I have the ability to work alone and within a team as well as having strong leadership skills. In previous jobs, I have been a general manager within hospitality, as well as having a Masters degree in leadership and management. In regards to horses, I am very experienced in riding, handling, general yard duties, but not so experienced in plaiting/turning out for shows. I have clipped once or twice, but by no means an expert in this. That said I am a very quick learner and take pride in completing tasks to a high standard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Working with horses is my passion and it would mean everything to me to work more closely with horses on a day to day basis and to be able to enjoy the work that I do.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I believe there is always room for improvement. I’d definitely like to improve on my knowledge of caring for horses on a bigger scale.

I am an incredibly hard working individual who thrives off giving my all into any work that I do. I’ve always given 100% in every role that I’ve been in, regardless of whether I’ve enjoyed the job or not, so I know working within an equine environment, doing something I am truly passionate about and love, then I would go absolutely above and beyond.

I would love to be able to work around horses on a daily basis and to go to work knowing that I love what I do.

I do have a few, however the majority of these are not booked for any particular purpose so can be moved/cancelled. The only holiday I would require is the 31st May until the 9th June.
