Experience with Horses
I have been riding since I was 6 and started helping at a yard when I was 8.
I have a large range of experience in treating horses with medical
needs from a minor scrape to a spiral leg fracture.
I have competed unaffiliated up to 1 meter, however have
jumped up to 1.25m, unfortunately the horses that I have full
loaned have had limits which has resulted in me not being able to
compete higher. Equally not coming from a horsey family I
haven’t been able to compete affiliated.
I have taught friends how to ride their horses for flatwork, show
jumping and cross country.
I am extremely dedicated to horses and enjoy the early morning
starts, late evenings and even the dirty work.
Despite being young I have a large range of experience with
horses however I have an open mind and desire to learn more.
I have had to work my way from the ground upwards in the
equestrian world as unfortunately I do not have any horsey
relatives, this means that I have gained all my knowledge from
working extremely hard to get to where I am today.
I have a wide range of experience in riding many different horses,
including youngsters.
I have helped back horses and equally want to do this as my
dream job. I understand the steps in what it takes to develop
horses for the working world. I have had responsibility for over
10 horses, maintaining safe, efficient yard operations. I have worked on livery at Talland school of equitation where I am gaining my BHS qualifications.
my desired job would to back/break and train young horses.
