- Experience with Horses
. I have been around horses for 21 years, handling various of different breeds and sizes of horses from competition horses to family pets. I have owned my own horses breaking in one and bringing on my more skittish sports horse to compete. I have competed up to 1m showjumping, dressage and showing, I have experience in stable maintenance and care, volunteering at both livery stables and riding facilities. I am happy with a riding or non riding position and am comfortable to work with all horses.
Key Skills
. I work well independently or within a team setting. I’m able to ride young horses that have less experience and have been able to train liberty to others. I can handle ‘spicy’ horses with attitude right down to the dopes on ropes type of horses. I have strong determination to do the things asked of me always with a positive attitude ensuring safety of both myself and the horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? I enjoy that every day is different and unpredictable. Meanwhile you also get to grow a bond with the horses that you work with and learn their personalities which are all unique to each individual horse you meet. I love that every horse can teach you something new.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
There’s always room for improvement in any aspect. I feel many roles could help improve my current skills.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have a positive attitude with pure dedication to the job I have especially when it comes to horses. I would revolve my entire day around my horses and spend 12 hours + ensuring they were well looked after.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
depending on the job I would love to further my education in any role opportunity given to me.
