Experience with Horses
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always deeply loved horses, and from the age of 10, I took riding lessons but unfortunately had to cease attending due to financial reasons.
Key Skills
My skills in horse riding goes as follows: walk, trot, canter, small fences, putting on and removing horse tack, adjusting stirrups (though I may need to be retaught both due to the end of my riding lessons) and leading a horse to and from the stables
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I enjoy building a strong bond with the horse I’m riding; I’ve never owned a horse of my own but I’ve always wanted to, horse riding and forging a strong connection to one is the closest I will ever get to the feeling of having my very own horse.
• Due to having not ridden horses for around 5 years, I may need to retrain myself in small areas such as horse tack and key tips in riding, including sitting in your saddle properly when cantering, or maintaining the correct posture when jumping a fence.
• I have a strong, undeniable passion and deeply rooted love for horses that began before any of my other hobbies even appeared, and I am determined to show that in my work and attitude.
Requirements
• I’d like to form strong relationships with the horses I encounter, as well as life-long skills that may potentially lead me to long-term, paid work, hopefully whilst riding horses.
• It’s not a necessity for me to have accommodation provided for me, as I’m currently looking for homes to rent either my partner, though I’m open to live-in jobs, depending on the job.
• I don’t require any animals to bring with me.
• As aforementioned, the only commitment I have is searching for a shared home to rent.
• I do not have any holidays booked as of yet that potential employers need to know of.
