Experience with Horses
I currently work as an apprentice working on a 3* event yard. I work with a vast array of people, managing farriers, vets, physios, chiropractors and liveries. I have groomed at a few events and have regularly hunted a horse of my own.
Key Skills
I can work as part of a team and have good communication skills. I am organised, can work with set tasks given and have basic first aid knowledge.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The variety that comes with it, knowing each day could have a different outcome and seeing the success that it brings.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to further my ridden skills, although I can ride to a good standard, I feel there is always room to improve.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am hardworking, never late and can manage a yard on my own to a good standard.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would like to progress with my current eventing experience or try and put what I have to a different field
• Do you need accommodation?
If further than 45 minutes than my own home then yes.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
I do have my own horse so if to bring him with me is a possibility than I would take the chance
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
No
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No
