Key Skills
I am happy to work alone or within a team.
I have completed 6/20 level 3 modules including clipping, plaiting, turning out, tacking up for specialist work and loading. I have enjoyed my module on health care, treating minor injuries and can confidently administer medication including injections.
I am confident in dealing with many types of people. I teach all age groups and deal with livery clients daily. I work well with the multidisciplinary team on the yard, including a close working relationship with the local farrier and vet.
I am involved in running pony camp and other holiday activities for children and help organise and run open days at the stables.
On a daily basis I train school horses so they are fit for clients to ride. I frequently care for horses while their owners are on holiday. In my time at the yard I have also been involved in the backing of green/young horses.
