ExperienceÂ
I have worked within the equine idustry since I was 17. I started off working free lance on the side of looking after my own horses. I decided hairdressing wasn’t for me, I enjoyed being outside working with horses so decided to take that on full time at a local Hunter/ pointing yard. I was there two and a half years and thoroughly enjoyed it. I decided I wanted to go into the racing side of things so said good bye to my eventing and showjumping hobby, packed my bags and headed up north to a racing yard. I was in sole charge of a yard of 16 racehorses. I then decided I’d like some knowledge of life on a big yard so travelled down to lambourn to work a season with Warren Greatrex. I had a fantastic time and was lucky to ride some top quality horses. I have since decided I much prefer a smaller yard and being able to delegate so for the past two years have been head girl at Sam England racing. I have loved every minute of it but I feel it’s time to get out of racing.
Key Skills
Plenty of experience in sole charge, on the yard and away at the races, turnout to extremely high standard including plaiting and clipping. Ability to ride a range of horses, worked with a lot of breakers and young horses and problem horses. Highly organised and efficient.
Requirements
I have a dog, very well behaved around horses. 2 year old very friendly lab.
Id like to stay locally as I have just moved in with my partner.
