Work Experience
I have recently finished a Biosciences Masters by Research at the University of Nottingham in Plant Science. I have the drive and ambition to succeed, and I am dedicated to the tasks I am assigned while ensuring that I complete them to a high standard. I have a varied background in employment, including the leisure and service industry as well as the British Military, of which the skills acquired
through these various roles have helped me to achieve goals I set my mind to.
Equine Work Experience
British Eventing Volunteer
May 2018 to Present
Helping out with events such as the Badminton Horse Trials, Burghley, and Blenheim Horse Trials in a range of roles from helping with poles, yard work, marshalling traffic to allow safe passage of horses, and any other roles required to assist with the day to day running of these events.
Riding School
January 2019 to Present
Volunteer Groom
Helping the owner with general yard duties such as mucking out the stables, grooming horses, tacking up, putting horses in and out of the fields as required, and any other duties asked of me to assist in the day to day running of their yard.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
The outdoors, the being around the horses themselves I find both therapeutic and rewarding seeing a horse grow in character and strength and being part of the journey.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Riding
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
Because I have the drive and ambition to succeed. Having previously worked in the British Army I am used to working under immense pressure and still delivering.
