Experience with Horses

In Argentina I have done T90 and T100;   SJ in competition up to 1m10 and dressage work up to advance medium. (I can send videos). In France (during school break) I have taken the Galop 7 examination (BHS level 3/4).

This year while studying English at Gloucester Uni.  I started working at Jill Carrenza’s. My job was to ride young horses 3 to 6 years old which were for sale and also work livery horses (flat work, dressage, show jumping, cross country, hack and gallops work). In April I moved to Bill Levett’s yard where I am until the end of the year. I do: riding flatwork schooling SJ and XC, hacking galloping and heeling, yard work (feeding, mucking out stable, turning out and bring in, tacking up, cleaning tack) as well as grooming for competitions. I have been sole groom with responsibility of 4 horses on competition (amid others Gatcombe).

Key Skills

I am really good at working with young horses. I have the patience and the mentality for the job. I really enjoy watching them grow. As well I’m good with stalion or tricky horses. I had 2 young stalions to start for XC.

I’m good working alone, because I am organized and responsible. I maintain written records and I make check lists when going to competitions to make sure I bring everything. I also enjoy working as part of a team because it is a lot more fun and I can learn from the way others do the chores. I can work under pressure, for example at competitions and I’m always open to learn new things. Having worked at professional yards has taught me to maintain very high standards.
