Experience with Horses
I went to Merrist Wood College and completed my level 1 Horse care and management diploma, I am now studying equine psychology. My experience with horses has been volunteering at Parwood Equestrian Centre during their show jumping shows and I also have three horses of my own that I look after.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
I am good at mucking out, grooming, tack cleaning, lunging, in hand leading. I need to start leaning how to clip/pull and trim.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love how loyal horses are they are such sweet and understanding creatures. Especially when you can spend enough time with them to bond.
- Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I’d like to learn more about clipping/trimming and pulling as I haven’t had any experience with that.
- Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
