Experience with Horses
I have worked at two international dressage stables as both a groom as rider, working with stallions and horses of all training levels and ages. I have also had experience starting young horses and competing horses in the upper levels.
Key Skills
Working alone, working with others, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I like the uniqueness of every horse and how they all have their own strengths and weaknesses.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I want to improve my balance in my seat as I had hip surgery earlier this year.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I have been working since I was 15 and have always left the barns I’ve worked at with a good relationship. I take pride in creating successful happy and easy horses to ride.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job?
I would like to be able to ride more horses of different training levels, more young horses.
• Do you need accommodation?
Yes
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you?
I have a horse and a dog.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
No
• Do you have any holidays booked that an employer needs to know of?
No
