Experience with Horses

I am a 20 year old 5ft 3 girl who is available for freelance work to suit you. I have 10 years experience with horses and still own my own horse now. I have worked on riding schools and for top hunt, showjumping and dressage yards. From working at professional yards I am experienced with handling stallions, broodmares and quirky fit horses. I can do anything from mucking out, clipping, show preparation, mane pulling, lunging, hacking, schooling, jumping, groundwork and day to day running of a yard. I am very trustworthy having yards where I have been in sole charge of fit hunting horses and getting them prepared for hunting and their exercise work.

 

 

Key Skills

I am particularly good at handling for quirky horses having owning one myself and dealing with many clients who do have these types of horses. personally I would also say a strong skill of mine Consistency I will always treat and maintain the horses health, wellbeing and general keep to however the owner wants it. I will never just do a quick job to get the job done I treat clients horses like my own. Finally, I would also say a key skill of mine is the exercising of horses which is warming up correctly, working a horse correctly and cooling down Efficiently so there is less chance of injury involved.

 

 

Strengths and Weaknesses

• What I most enjoy about working with horses is meeting the many different horses and their individual personalities  No 2 horses are ever the same and it’s lovely to learn about the different attitudes. I also love the bonds you make with horses. They are such loving animals which is why I also love working with them

 

•One thing I would like to improve on is not to be as much of a perfectionist   I need to understand that although I love doing an amazing bed with massive banks. Not every owner has the time for me to spend a long time on making a perfect bed

 

• The reason why Employers should consider me as a candidate over others is because I always put my clients and my work first. The horses always come first and their wellbeing. Because of this I am very trustworthy to be able to turn up on time and the owners to trust I will treat their own horses just like they do. They should also consider me as although I am only 20 years old, I am very mature so I work well in a team. I also have lots of experience at such a young age from working on top hunt and dressage yards at the age of just 16 where I was in charge of many quirky and fit horses who were regularly competing at top levels having to maintain their work load and general day to day care.

 

Requirements

• In my next job, I would love to work alongside owners and team members as I think you create such a good bond having sharing the same passion

 

• I don’t need any accommodation, I am happy to commute as I drive and own my own car

 

•I don’t have any special Requirements

 

• I currently have some clients but I am only working part time at the moment. I would like to up this to full time work so if you would like to give me a text, email or call I can tell you what days and hours I can do
