Experience with Horses
Experience with horses for 20 years and worked as a home/show groom for 5 years with showjumping horses.
Familiar with usual grooming duties, jeeping the stables/yard clean, mucking out, tacking up/off, clipping, plaiting, bandaging etc. Can lunge, hack out or flatwork if needed, though not necessary to be a riding position.
Previous show grooming experience from national and international shows. Used to handling stallions and worked a lot with young horses (3 yrs and older).
Haven’t worked as a groom for the past 5 years but kept horses as a hobby during this time. I’m responsible, motivated, fast and keen to learn and take pride in my work. Happy to work as part of a team or sole charge.
Ideally looking for a long term position but will consider temporary jobs as well.
Requirements
Live-in position. For a long term position I need to be able to bring my dog with me.
