Experience with Horses
I am a very motivated and ambitious individual who enjoys working with horses. I have a large and varied skill set in various equine vocations including but not limited to:
a detailed understanding of the maintenance of equine facilities such as stables and therapy/exercise equipment(e.g treadmills, walkers etc).
A firm grasp of the necessary hygiene standards and physiological requirements of various equine breeds
An understanding of the roles various horse breeds undertakes in jobs and shows, as well as how they must be trained to achieve this
Key Skills
I am competent in the central key areas of caring for horses and exercising all types of horse. I have experience with handling and riding different types, temperaments and ages of horses. I can ride most horses through all three disciplines to a high standard. I can get a horse ready for a show (including plaiting and all other turn out areas) to a high standard. I have handled and backed some of my own young horses.
I have good communication skills and I’m adaptable to most tasks. I can work alone or alongside a team.
