Experience with Horses
All things horse care: feeding AM/PM, mucking out, turning out, keeping the yard tidy, night checks
Riding – mainly dressage up to elementary, flatwork, polework, hacking out. Would love to take part in clinics or even compete – will never say no to a riding opportunity! I’m used to riding tall dressage horses, small kids’ ponies, strong horses, green horses, willing to put a ride on anything! I’m a very confident rider and have no problems dealing with difficult horses
Tacking up horses for daily training and taking care of them after training (hosing down, cold hosing legs, hoof care, …)
Basic lymph drainage massage and stretches (carrot stretches sideways and down, leg stretches, belly tucks, …)
Experienced in handling stallions, broodmares, foals, and green horses
Limited experience with competitions and shows but would love to learn!
Have given lessons before to beginners and advanced riders but it’s not something I see myself doing daily
Have no experience jumping/hunting/eventing
Currently have a 17.3hh Oldenburg lease horse that I take lessons on with trainers like Grand Prix rider Theo Henschenmacher
First aid basics – noticing and taking care of things like swelling, wounds/scrapes, soreness, eye injuries, and more
Rehabbing horses during and after tendon injuries, kissing spine surgery, hoof cancer and more, using BEMER, water treadmills, BOT, …
Assisting during vet and farrier appointments
Office work such as helping with accounting, making lesson plans, keeping track of riding hours, and managing social media/a website as well as communicating with any German clients
Requirements
• Need live-in accommodation until I can find my own place to live
• I have no drivers license but would love to take my test (including HGV/trailer/truck license) as soon as possible
• Bringing no own animals
• Need a VISA sponsorship – completely fine with any fees being deducted from a future paycheck, will pay for moving costs & flights myself
• Prefer a 5-day week although I have no issue helping with quick afternoon feedings or doing a night check on my days off if I’m on-site
