- Experience with Horses
I have recently started volunteering for my local RDA group on Saturdays, I have learned how to tack up and muck out. I have also gained experience working with disabled children. During my childhood I have learned how to ride, I have trotted on lead, I am hoping to improve my riding if there is an opportunity. I have since taken up more riding lessons and have improved my trot off lead.
Key Skills
I am a great team player, I will always ask for others thoughts and make sure the most accommodating and effective solution is chosen. There is always room for improvement and I ask for feedback to help get my skills to the next level. I am very committed and passionate about getting a start in working with horses. I’m an excellent communicator and get along well with anyone, I’m friendly and want to make sure to provide a comfortable environment for everyone involved.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
To me, horses are like oversized dogs, they each have their different personalities and you can teach them in different ways. I love that it connects people and I love to see the sheer power of these animals in action. They can be quite therapeutic as well.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I would like to improve my riding skills and learn more about how to provide proper care for horses. I want to be the best version of myself I can be regarding this and if it takes years of studying, trial and error, I am willing to commit and not afraid to get my hands dirty.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?
I am enthusiastic and ready to tackle any problem that is thrown at me. I am a quick learner and I very much want to improve myself, to provide a better service. I take accountability for my mistakes and learn from them, face the according consequences.
