Experience with Horses
Ridden since I could walk. Always had horses in the family and have worked up from pony club rallies to showjumping up to 1.20m on ponies. Have ridden Grand Prix dressage horses on a training weekend. In 2017 I was national junior sidesaddle rider of the year with numerous other showing and working Hunter placings including HOYS qualifiers.
I can turnout to a high standard including clipping, plaiting, quarter marks, trimming up etc. Although could do with a bit more practice to fine tune!
For the past 3 years whilst in Hartpury university studying equine science, I have been helping to produce 2 event ponies ready for the season. I am also currently working on a private yard exercising racehorses, dressage horses and ponies.
At home I have a 4yo idxtb and a 4yo Connie which I am producing to event.
Key Skills
I can work individually and as part of a team, confident handling fit horses and have handled foals and youngsters. I haven’t handled colts or stallions.
I am hardworking, eager to learn and would like to get some hands on experience working in the equine industry. I have a particular interest in riding roles as would like to develop my experience further.
Requirements

I currently have a 4yr old 15hh Connie I am producing to event which I would like to bring with me if it was a possibility. He is easy to do, handled by my younger brother and grandparents. Not one to get attached and a really nice person! (Not essential)
• Do you have any ongoing commitments?
My only commitments are a stewarding job but this is on an ad hoc basis so have no ongoing commitment to work on a contract basis.
Having now graduated university I am actively looking for full-time work.

Will be going travelling from 19th Nov 2024 until January 2025
