Experience with Horses
Worked on 3 different professional yards in the last 5.5 years. Groomed abroad at international shows (Valkenswaard, Oliva nova and sunshine tour). Plenty of experience around all types/ages (foals to competition horses). Was the main work rider at 2 yards and have now stepped down slightly on the riding front, looking for a slightly quieter role.
Key Skills
Happy with working alone or being a team player, clipping, pulling and tidying manes and tails, turning out to a high standard for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, breaking in, tidy and efficient around the yard, good time management
Strengths and Weaknesses
• I enjoy being outdoors and being active!
• I would like to make the step up to a management position however I have never really been taught how to manage a yard or a team. This is something that I’d like to work and improve on!
• I am a hardworking individual who’s self motivated and responsible.
Id like to get into a bit more of an ‘admin’ based role or have it included atleast. Speaking with / organising clientele, farriers, vets etc
Requirements
• 5 day week with set hours, single accommodation, partner allowed and small dog allowed.
• salary range of £25k – £27k
open to live-out positions, however, the salary would have to reflect this.
