Job Description

Experienced Hunting Groom needed to look after 6 Horses and 1 Pony for a family home in the Welsh Countryside. You will be supported by our current Groom who lives out & also others can help with daily yard duties. Our horses are mainly used for hunting but also go out to lessons & a few competitions. The mum rides most days. The 3 Children (16, 14 & 10) are away at school & ride in the holidays/exeats. Grandparents live on site.

Daily duties include: Mucking out, Hacking, Schooling, Cleaning tack, Feeding, Washing, Clipping, Plaiting and caring for the horses all to a high standard. Take pride in taking control and running a tidy, clean yard. We would want the horses and ponies to be loved as your own. Hours longer in the winter which is made up by shorter hours in the summer.

Good salary. Cottage & Gas, Electric & Water paid for you. Llanfyllin town is at the end of the drive. Shrewsbury 40 minutes drive away.

Your own Cottage next to the stables. Small 2 bed 2 bathroom Cottage with own front door with a large veranda with good views. Well behaved dog welcome. Partner welcome. Sadly can’t bring a horse.
