Basic care of our 5 easy-to-handle, natural-trained, Trakehner herd. Usual groom stuff including: Bring in. Turn out. Skip out (no straw/shavings). Pick hooves. Feed, hay, clean tack, etc. Around 1.5 hrs/per day/5 days per week. Plus seasonal yard-clearing projects to be negotiated: autumn leaves, apples, strimming, round-up-ing, etc.
Various additional paid opportunities available for the right person.
You’ll need to be reliable, security-conscious, horse-loving, non-smoking, self-sufficient, and have your own car. Horse care experience is important but less so than an authentic, positive attitude and enthusiasm for doing the best you can for our horses.
You’ll have your own, self-contained, modern, 2-bedroom, mobile home in the garden next to the house. It has central heating and gas cooker. You’ll be responsible for your own energy bills, telephone, and wi-fi.
