We currently have either 2 part time or one full time position available. Fridays and Saturdays need to be filled first, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be filled after. The 5th day will be added as and when the position becomes full time. We are a small, family run and friendly riding school and are looking for an honest, reliable, self-motivated and responsible individual to join the team.
Duties would involve giving riding lessons to adults and children, taking out hacks, general yard and field duties, horse care and stable management, as well as taking telephone and email bookings.
We are a growing business, so the job will become more varied and exciting as time goes on, and part time can will become full time for the right person, if you want it of course. We have recently begun two new ventures – carriage driving and a 24 hour horse riding and camping experience, and pub rides – I would like our new recruit(s) to be a part of this. We are professional and take our work seriously, although we do like to have fun as you can see from the photos.
Experience of working with horses and riding to a suitable level is required, but training can be provided for all other duties. Must be honest, reliable and self-motivated.
Please get in touch with Frances via email to arrange an interview / trial day.
Qualifications and/or experience of working with horses plus riding to a suitable level. Experience of teaching riding lessons and taking out treks an advantage, but we can provide training. Must have own mode of transport. Towing license is a bonus but not essential. Carriage driving qualifications would be a huge bonus, but again, not essential.
No on-site accommodation currently available, although may be in future.
We are open to discuss flexible working arrangements. Opportunities for days out hunting, fun rides, show jumping etc. Training courses will be funded by ourselves for the right individual, such as towing license, HGV, pesticides license etc. Plenty of barbecues, summer and winter. Anything else can be discussed in person.
