I’m looking for someone who is or wants to be a professional event rider, who has the ambition to make their career in eventing if given the opportunity! It is very hard to make it in the horse world so maybe somebody who has already been there but found the economics just too demanding, or someone trying to embark on that career, would be interested in the deal I am offering.
The job role is to train, ride and compete my seven home bred eventers who are out of my home bred TB mares, by my own TB stallion and by the stallion ALVESCOT PICASSO who is a Selle Francais show jumper. They are bred to jump and they do! The two most senior horses reached BE Novice as six year olds and the next two were BE100 at five years. The other three did not compete as I decided to re-locate to Somerset and care for them myself. That took a long time, and getting things set up here at my new yard has also taken a while. Last year they were all re-started.
What I really need, and would love to find, is a couple; one of whom is (or wants to be) a professional event rider and the other is somebody who loves to work outside and will help me with general maintenance on a couple of days each week. If one of you holds an HGV license that would be even better. However, it is an experienced professional rider whom I need most!
A professional Dressage Rider runs her livery/competition yard here and has been riding and training my gang since the beginning of the year. She has improved their flat-work enormously and is keen to continue her association with them. They are ready to go eventing and I need a rider capable of taking them to higher BE levels. They are seriously talented horses and need a rider dedicated to, and capable of, producing them to their best.
I have two empty stables which you are welcome to use, free of charge, for your own horses.
**Also available: 10-20 box Eventing yard, suitable for own horses or training, livery etc. Comes with accommodation. Click here**

Free of charge two bedroom fully self-contained ‘cottage’ annexe, suitable for a couple with heating, electricity, water, L/A rates, etc. paid for you.
This is a rider role – there is no mucking out to do (unless you want to!!). I do the mucking out and yard duties myself.
Time to ride/work for other local yards.
Accommodation with bills paid, plus a negotiable salary/riders fee.
Your partner is welcome to live with you, and there is the possibility of maintenance/grounds work available for them.
