Professional history
2016-2020
I worked as a Yard Duty Manager at Checkendon Equestrian Centre for four years, a role which involved all usual yard duties and the smooth running of the riding school and livery. During this time I schooled all types of horses/ponies for flatwork, jumping and hacking and achieved my BHS Stage 2.
2022-2023
I worked as Head Girl at Moorcroft Equine Rehabilitation Centre, a role that included keeping the yard to a high standard, high quality horse husbandry, exercising fit competition horses and ex-racers for rehabilitation, alongside all usual yard duties and taking sole charge.
2023-2025
I worked as sole charge groom and rider for a private dressage yard, undertaking all yard duties, exercising fit dressage horses, and petsitting.
2025-present
I am currently Yard Manager at Checkendon Equestrian Centre, ensuring the smooth running of the yard, clear communication with the liveries, training junior staff, schooling/long reining/lungeing, and office admin. I also achieved my BHS Stage 3 Care & Lunge qualification, and am currently working towards Stage 3 Ride, Stage 4 Care, and a Level 4 Certificate in Lameness and Rehabilitation.
