HELPER – Islandmagee Riding Center – Islandmagee
In this volunteer position I participated in many activities such as caring for the riding centers horses, doing tasks such as providing food, turning out horses and general care. I also showed social skills by helping younger riders work on their skills and abilities. This job taught me patience, social skills and confidence in different situations, again I enjoyed caring for the wellbeing of these horses as well as helping a range of younger riders.
GROOM- SUCCESSFUL SHOW JUMPING YARD
Within this job, I was responsible for 7 horses well-being such as feeding each horse daily at morning and night, providing them with exercise daily and daily cleaning duties. I also attended many horse shows in which I again was responsible for the well-being of these horses and turning them out. This job showed my skill for attention to detail and caring nature as well as physical abilities and fitness.
WORK EXPERINCE- CANADIAN OLYMPIC YARD
I completed a 2 week work experience in Canada with Olympic show jumpers, this gave me a lot of experience and an insight into the professional world of show jumping.

i really enjoy working with all animals . I do still have areas I could improve on but would love to learn and I am a fast learner . I am good at working in a team and also taking sole charge as I have done all aspects of this within my career
I have a 8 year old OTTB , who I bought off a dealer shortly after her racing career , I have helped her further her education and she is now a well behaved horse compared to her previous violent aggressive self
I am confident around all types of horses
