Job Description
Ideal for someone keen and passionate about horses and the sport of eventing, looking for a head person role!
I run an event yard, based at Aston-le-Walls in Northamptonshire, using the incredible onsite jumping and cross country facilities at Washbrook Farm. We range in numbers but usually have between 17 and 20 horses in work from sales horses, schooling horses, youngsters from breakers all the way through the grades to top 5* level. Obviously our main focus is eventing and we are very busy competing most weekends during the season so traveling and grooming at events is also part of the job role. The yard is run to an extremely high standard, with all the horses receiving 5 star care and it’s very important to me that my staff are dedicated, reliable and trustworthy. Everything is kept immaculately and I’m looking for someone with similar high standards of work and attention to detail to help manage the yard. It’s a very friendly team all with a great sense of humour, sharing the same passion for both the horses and the sport as well as being a lovely place of work with a real variety in the day to day routine.

– High standards of turn out and attention to detail –Â Confident trimming up / plaiting / clipping and grooming at events.
– Must be someone open and friendly with good communication skills able to work within a team but equally taking overall responsibility.
– Organised and methodical. Taking charge of orders and running of the yard, people and horses.
