Experience with Horses
International Showjumping Yard experience. Been an additional groom to shows, including stay away.
Included daily duties such as – mucking out, feeding, grooming, tacking up, turnout, haynets, rugs and riding.
I have horses of my own who I tend to daily and ride regularly. I also backed 3 of my horses and have produced 7.
Key Skills
Working alone, working with others, turning out, handling all types of horses, riding green horses, mucking out to high standard, keeping yard clean and organised, dedicated and enthusiastic.
Strengths and Weaknesses
I absolutely love working with horses. Whether they be easy or difficult, I am patient and willing to put the work in.
I would love to improve my riding. I started in a riding school, and since then have been self taught.
I have a positive work mindset and will have a go at any job asked of me. I am friendly, happy and always show my love for my job.
Requirements
I would like to gain general experience as a groom and also improve my riding if possible.
I would like to learn to clip, practice my plaiting and learn how to turn out a horse to the best standard.
I would require accommodation if it isn’t local to Alderholt, Hampshire.
I would love to bring my dog, but this is not essential. I would also like to bring one if not two of my horses.
I currently work Mondays and Fridays but would leave this job for the right opportunity.
I would like Christmas booked off.
