Experience with Horses
Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.
Key Skills
What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc
i prefer working alone , as most of my equine jobs it has mainly just been myself and obviously the owner/rider and a few others , i can work in a team , but i am just used to working alone , i’ve worked in riding school/ dressage yard so would turn out ponies to big eventers and stallions and foals , at this yard i would ride the more difficult of horses who would rear and buck and bolt on a daily so am used to riding challenging horses, when i was in racing i’d have to muck out about 6/8 stables each morning within a time frame so i was quick and efficient doing that. i haven’t been in the equine industry for about 6 years but i really want to get back into it as it’s a huge passion of mine and i miss it , my last job i’ve left in february was a groundsman for a tree company in hampshire duties included , packing tools on off trucks/ towing chipper to sites/jobs, chipping branches, logging up, splitting logs, making sure equipment is clean and safe , hedge cutting, tidy the area once finished
