Experience with Horses
I am currently working in my local riding school which I have lived right next to since I was 5 years old. I began getting weekly lessons there from the age of 6, then bought my first pony and started participating in pony club, hunting, showjumping etc. I went on to work in a breaking & sales yard producing mainly Connemara pony’s. When i finished school i came back to work in the riding school where i completed my stage 1 Bhs exam and stage 2 ride , lundge and care. I am now working towards completing my teach. Currently in first year studying Equine Management at CAFRE (College of Agriculture Food & Rural Enterprise).
Key Skills
I am good at working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling/riding young horses, working with kids and disabled kids and adults
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
Being around horses each day no matter what it is I am doing I enjoy I particularly like producing young horses, but also enjoy the leisure of hacking and relaxed riding
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
My riding skills as the last year i have focused on my coaching and coaching exams I have not got as much opportunities to ride as I would of liked to
