Experience with Horses
I have ridden since the age of 5 and started jumping competitively by the age of 9. As a young girl I took part in every part of Pony club and Riding club. I have always produced my own horses and have also broken a few ponies and horses myself. I jumped ponies on the BSJA circuit up to 1.25m and qualified for HOYS. I now jump my self produced 7yo Dutch Warmblood, that we bought as a rising 4yo, up to members cup/ foxhunter with view to keep progressing him up the levels! Horses are my life, my passion and my happy place, the same way they have been for as long as I can remember. I have bundles of experience working on yards aswell as caring for my own for years, so have all the knowledge and background in dealing with all types. For this reason, I am confident and experienced with all the usual: plaiting, mucking out, clipping, lunging, exercising (flat/jumping: hacking, etc.), first aid, etc.
I also have experience in teaching others. Whilst I haven’t taken my teaching exams, I have the knowledge that has helped me to teach other people and I take great pride in watching something new click for people and to help them come together with their horses.
