Experience with Horses
My biggest achievement is with horses is spending 3 months working in Wellington, Florida with top international rider Taylor Land. I worked along side her and her client Rachel as well as 8 show jumping horses. I completed various tasks such as flat working highly strung show jumpers of all ages and taking horses to the show – warmed up/put up jumps for rider. I have some FEI experience – turning horses out, cross contamination etc. Due to Floridas strict regimes I learnt to Look after horses to a very high standard due to weather conditions, washing/bathing etc and strict after performance routine of care for horses jumping up to 1m30 the usage of ice boots, wrapping of legs, usage of laser, limb poultice and hoof packing.
I put all this to good practice working along side Chris Burton, Olympic Silver Medalist where I learnt to handle very highly strung competition horses and stallions as young as 3 years old. I learnt how to trot up correctly and show horses off to high standard.
I have also worked with Belgium riders SB Sporthorses in Spain at the Sunshine Tour, dealing with 5 horses.
