Experience with horses
Although I am quite young, my experience is very much not limited. I have grown up on my ex 5* mother’s, event livery yard, and have grown up whilst being away to international events with her.I have been lucky enough to have managed the Jump for Joy eventing team (jasmine underwood) and was managing up to 4 horses per event, doing both international long format, and day format.
Key Skills
worked with multiple different disciplines (showjumping/breakers/olympic event yards) in teams of up to 10, or just being a solo groom
Strengths and Weaknesses
• have had experience with young stock/ riding large, fit event horses
• I am a hard working, dedicated groom, who thrives off of seeing riders doing well, and feeling part of a team
Requirements/preferences
I would love to be an away groom, to gain more experience at international shows
• I would need accommodation, as I cannot drive. I have lived with other grooms, or on my own at times.
• I have 16yo gelding, who I would love to bring with me, but I completely understand if there is no space for him!
• I am taking my GCSEs until June, and will have 2/3 months of free time. If I enjoyed working as a groom, and wanted to per-sue my career, I would be open to a working apprenticeship, for 2 years
