Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I started riding lessons at the age of 3. At age 8 I got my 1st pony, a reg Dartmoor. Competed successfully in MnM classes. Moving on too larger ponies,  competing weekly in jumping and showing. At 18 I worked in Newmarket ,riding and travelling to races. I have also broken in 4 youngsters and rbacked/ riden awasy numerousothers. After 5 years I returned home and have since worked in livery, hunt and  dressage. I can plait and turnout to a high standard, clip, lunge, bandage, equine first aid, wormers,  feed and supplement and I have lots oof experience driving a telehandler. I have my own horse which is an Irish Draught and am very confident with larger horses.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

I work well in a team, also experienced with sole charge and work well doing this. I clip, plait and turnout to a high standard.  Riding wise I have a lot of experience riding colts, and horses that are nervous or difficult I seem to work well with.
