Experience with Horses
I have worked with riding school horses, ex-race horses in retraining and rehab. Professional yards producing event horses and race horses in training. A trekking center for two summers, leading trails. A range of privately owned horses and ponies for coaching and schooling purposes. Backing and bringing on or back in to work.
Key Skills
I’m adaptable, punctual and professional. I am skilled and confident at longing lining and lunging, helping nervous riders, creating a calm and confident horse. Schooling on the flat. I am at peace working alone but equally I can work alongside anyone.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? Creating a bond and developing a nervous horse in to a relaxed horse.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? Everything all of the time.
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? I’ll never claim to be the best but I like to be busy to stay fit am reliable and kind. Please keep scrolling if you shout on your yard or have any drama, I’m not interested.
Requirements
• What would you like to do or gain in your next job? Have consistency in the work available come rain or shine. I am currently freelance and living in the north means I get a bit of work postponed if the weather is bad and I do a lot of driving around so i am looking for somthing with full days work and ideally one location.
• Do you need accommodation? Yes. Unless I can source somthing nearby.
• Do you have any special requirements for any animals you wish to bring with you? I have an older horse I would have to bring or organise before coming.
• Do you have any ongoing commitments? Yes I have my regulars but no contracts or leaving periods.
