Experience with Horses
I am looking for a groom job. Riding can be included but not necessary. I have been in the horsey world since I was 12 years old. I have helped on multiple yards exercising horses, sorting small issues with them and general yard duties. I have also worked on a busy livery yard and a racing yard.
Key Skills
my key skills include working alone when needed as I thrive off independence. working with others is also another skill as I am happy to work as a team to get things done. I have very high expectations for the things i do and I always make sure they are done to the best of standards. clipping is something that I have only done once but I did a good job of it and happy to do more of it. plaiting is something I have only done on my horse but do like to make sure they always look lovely. I’m also confident handling any strong/young horses and don’t get scared easily on the ground. I am very punctual and like to be early to get things started. I like to think of myself as a friendly person who can get on with anybody and like to make new friends.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• the things I like most about working with horses is that it is a very rewarding job. With good training horses can completely change. I love being around horses as even if your having a bad day they will always brighten it even if they are the reason it’s bad!
• I would like to improve my knowledge on the competition world. I haven’t competed but would love to! I am most interested in the eventing side. This would be something I would like to learn and work on.
• I think that employers should consider me instead of other job seeker because I am a very confident person and have a true love for horses. I am very passionate about them and their welfare. I am eager to find the right job for me and stick with it!
Requirements
