Experience with Horses
I have been riding for the past 15 years and for the past 2 years I have been working as a Yard Manager on a livery yard at a busy equestrian centre. Managing both liveries and stabling for competitions. The previous 3 years I worked at the world oldest horse charity as a groom and senior groom. Which allowed me to be in sole charge of a group of 15 other grooms, be in charge of medical decisions and work along side our vet. This has allowed me to gain extensive knowledge both managerial and equine. I also have my own horse who started as a complete project and now competes successfully with both show jumping and dressage.
Key Skills
I work well within a group, leading or happy to handle tasks alone. I have experience working with police and military horses, up to 18.2 and am confident in doing so. I am happy with the day to day logistics of running a yard. Riding, lunging, clipping, treating minor veterinary issues and liaising with vets and farriers.
