Experience with Horses
I have a BS in Equestrian Studies from Stephens College. However, due to family health issues (now resolved), I have been away from horses for a few years.
Key Skills
I’m a team player, but equally happy working alone. Once I get back in the rhythm of horse care, I would be happy and confident with sole care. My riding is rusty as well, but I would be happy to flat your horses, even the young ones. That said, riding absolutely does not need to be part of my job. I have worked with young horses before, brought one up myself, and I love putting in the groundwork foundations with them.
I also have experience in an office setting, and great with computers. With my Canon camera, and Adobe suite experience, I would be happy to take pictures and videos for any advertising or social media needs as well.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love the connection and partnership you can build with a horse. Nothing else like it in the world.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
Well, I can always improve! With horses, you’re always learning. That said, I do probably need a refresher in horse care to knock some of the rust off, but I’m sure I’ll be back in the swing of things in no time!

I have two dogs and one is slow to warm up to other people, so ideally I would like private housing to ensure his comfort. Neither would come to work with me!

I currently work as a substitute teacher, so I am very flexible.

Yes, late May 2025, I will be going to Paris.
