Experience with Horses
I am a hunter jumper rider; I’ve been working and riding since I was 4 years old and have worked for multiple barns since I was 14 years old. I have also done an internship in New Mexico and Texas on a ranch working cows. I am a very hard worker and have a lot of equine knowledge and am very eager to learn more. I do have some show experience, mostly smaller local shows, and have done the circuit in Florida a few times.
Key Skills
Very independant and thrive on structure and schedued, but can be flexible in a work environment to jump in wherever necessary. Can administer IV and IM shots, wound care experience, clipping, basic plaiting, turning out for shows, started green horses, head Groom at Fox Hunting Facility and all barn chores. Non-equine related skills included freediving, tank diving, fishing and driving a boat. I can also drive a horse trailer, but will need assistance backing up and learning to drive on left side of road.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• The reward of seeing a horses progress after training them for starting them is what I enjoy most in working in the Equine Industry.
• I would like to advance my Equine medical knowledge and learn more about the breeding of horses.
• I feel that I am a strong candidate for this position because I am eager, physically and mentally tough (no fear when horses are agressive and I know how to work through it). I do not give up on horses and understand their individual personalities. I am extremely comfortable around horses and feel that they respect me and the relationship I build with each one. Personally, my father is a professional boat captain, and my parents used to live in the USVI. I am well-traveled throughout the Islands and know to be cautious and always alert. I am eager and happy to relocate with my current passport.

I would like to advance my Equine medical knowledge and learn more about the breeding of horses. Show in the Jumpers ring more than I currently am, and Eventing.
