Experience with Horses
To provide a bit of background about myself: I am a 23 year-old woman from England with extensive experience working with fit, working horses. I have been involved with various yards across the UK, including racing, hunting, and eventing yards, where I’ve gained exposure to a broad range of horses and disciplines. I have been riding and producing horses since the age of 13, and I have successfully started and trained sport horses for top-level competition in eventing, show jumping, and hunting. I also have experience exercising and managing racehorses and point to point horses. As well as broodmares and foal management. Due to my various skills I am able to adjust and cover any specific skills any future employers may desire.
Key Skills
My competence with young horses, their education and management. Handling and riding fit, sport horses in all disciplines. Competition, schooling and training, racehorse exercising, show turnout, working in a team, solo work. Driving cars, motorbikes, quad bikes, yard management and upkeep.
Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses? The partnership, the fun and adventures, being out doors in the world. The challenges of some horses and watching them learn and succeed. The competition atmosphere and the development of the horses
• Is there anything you’d like to improve? My confidence with meeting new people and different experiences . I am a very confident rider but I want to become more confident within myself and my life choices. Travelling to do something I love would bring me this confidence and joy
• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker? My experience in many different roles, I am hard working and joyful! I can manage a team but also work solo. My pleasure to be around many different animals and my desire to learn, compete and succeed.
