Experience with Horses
I am an English and Bitless rider of 20-years and a bare-foot horse owner of 10-years. I have experience leading wild hacks across Welsh mountains in mid Wales and brief experience assisting with the backing of a young horse. I have general knowledge of equine first aid, nutrition and operating yard machinery such as quad bikes. As well as experience volunteering at a riding school, assisting trail rides for young children with learning difficulties. I am familiar with bandaging and exercising and year round turnout. Along with desensitisation and groundwork exercises.

I am a confident handler of mature and green horses. Employing a strong and calm approach that builds and nurtures trust with the horses I handle.
Equine well-being is at the core of my work, with a focus on understanding horse behaviour in order to develop mutual respect within the herd dynamic, and create well-mannered horses both in the saddle and on the ground.
Providing the foundation to work efficiently and carry out all care and preparations, from hoof care, to tacking up, riding out, grooming and loading.
I am familiar with the bridle ways and mountain paths of Wales and I take absolute care in ensuring enjoyment for both rider and horse.
