EXPERIENCE
I am currently managing a small livery yard and stud (Thoroughbred and Shetland) We run Animal Therapy alongside. I have a special interest in nutrition and training young horses.
I have worked within the industry for over 20 years. I first spent 7 years as an assistant at a local, old fashioned Saddlers, repairing rugs and completing some Saddle Fitting qualifications, then moved onto managing a website and stock for a Saddle Fitter. Since then I have worked in feed merchants, in a Polo yard, Thoroughbred youngstock and groomed for a HOYS level amateur- including at HOYS three times.
Alongside my work, I have always had a horse or two of my own, and maybe a youngster in to produce to sell.
I work well alone or as part of a team. I can turnout to a high standard, clip, bandage, administer first aid, and handle all manner of horses and ponies.
I love getting to know each horse as an individual.
I am a positive, out going person who is willing to get truly stuck into any job. I am cheerful, have an eye for detail and I care.
