Experience with Horses
I’ve been working with horses for several years across riding schools and trekking centres. My experience includes daily horse care (feeding, grooming, checking for injuries), leading rides, assisting in lessons, and tacking up for various types of riders. I’ve also helped with stable duties such as mucking out, making feeds, and turning horses in and out.
I’ve worked both paid and volunteer roles, including working for lessons and more recently in a full-time animal-based job (which I left due to welfare concerns).
I’m currently rebuilding my riding confidence and focusing on improving my basics, although I have experience walk/trot/canter and jumping up to around 60cm.
In addition to horse experience, I’ve held customer-facing roles and am confident talking to clients and managing tasks alone or as part of a team.

Strengths and Weaknesses
• What do you most enjoy about working with horses?
I love the connection you build with horses through routine care and quiet time, and I enjoy supporting young or beginner riders as they learn and grow. I find a lot of joy in being part of a team that values animal welfare and kindness.
• Is there anything you’d like to improve?
I want to continue building my confidence in the saddle, particularly with cantering stronger horses. I’d also like to improve my handling of young/green horses under supervision.
