Job Description

We are seeking an experienced groom for our large livery yard in Berkshire. We are looking for somebody that is confident handling fit competition horses. You will need to deliver a high standard of turnout and mucking out, as well as be able to work well within a team of people to meet quite complex standards for each full livery client where an individual approach is key whilst ensuring the yard continues to run smoothly. Good communication skills with clients, colleagues and your manager are therefore essential.

There is opportunity to ride some lovely horses but riding is not essential, and is mainly hacking on our private 1750ac estate, with light schooling for some clients.

You will be part of our team on a working arable farm with shoot and property business. You will therefore work in professional conditions with annual leave booking system, structured rota, contract and perks (such as free Christmas party and summer BBQ).

The hours are regular (7am-4pm, 5 days a week), and a late check (or 2 if living in).
