Experience with Horses

Outline your experience with horses here/the scope of your freelance services. If you’re looking for a non-equine or non- yard-based job please use this space to describe your experience skills/abilities and adapt the questions to suit your line of work.

I have over 10 years of practical experience working with thoroughbred racehorses at Lahore Race Club, Pakistan. My work has included daily grooming, feeding, hoof cleaning, stable hygiene, assisting with colic cases, post-race recovery, leg wrapping, and walking/hot-walking. I’ve also assisted with stomach washes, injections, deworming, and worked closely with senior veterinarians and trainers in both treatment and exercise programs. I am confident handling racehorses in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.

Key Skills

What are you particularly good at? For example: working alone, working with others, clipping, plaiting, turning out for shows, handling stallions, handling/riding young horses, non-equine skills etc

Thoroughbred horse grooming

Stable hygiene and mucking out

Handling hot and nervous horses

Walking and lunging

Feeding and supplement management

Applying bandages and cold therapy

Post-race care and TPR monitoring

Working alone and as part of a team

Following vet/trainer instructions accurately

• Is there anything you’d like to improve?

I’d like to improve my riding and clipping skills for versatility in the racing or stud environment.

• Why should employers consider you above any other job seeker?

Because I bring hands-on racehorse care experience, a strong work ethic, and genuine passion for horses. I’ve worked day and night shifts, including emergencies, and always put the horse’s welfare first.
